When scrolling through various Studyblrs (study Tumblr blogs) there are a few common trends. Beautiful handwriting, neat and organized desks, Instagram-worthy notes, and simple but amazing stationery are what constitute these blogs. After pining over every single pen, notebook, and post-its these people have, I decided I wanted to join the world of clean study spaces and neat notes. My first step was with the purchase of Double-Sided Mildliner Highlighters.
Quality: 9/10
I tried out all fifteen pens when I first got them and they were all in good condition. I’ve been using them for about two months and they showed no sign of drying out. The chisel side, used for highlighting, works great. The only problem I have is the thin side of the highlighter. While the ink flows well, the tip began to fray the first time I used it. That is an issue, albeit a small one, that bothers me since I like to underline when I take notes. Unless you wouldn’t mind a little bit of fraying on the thin tip, the highlighters are great.
Price: 8/10
For $15, I was able to get three sets of different colored highlighters off of Amazon. Each set had five highlighters, which meant that each one costed about $1. It isn’t a bad price compared to other double sided highlighters that are about $1.50, but my wallet did cry for a few days after I got them. However, they are worth their price.
Appearance: 10/10
These highlighters can be found on virtually every Studyblr and they have a pop of color to an otherwise immaculate, white desk. I like that the only color on the highlighter is on the cap and the rest is white. It provides a very clean and sleek appearance that feels and looks great whether you’re using or blogging it!
Final Thoughts
Despite taking a chunk of my wallet with it, the Double-Sided Mildliner Highlighters stole my heart. I love the ink colors since they’re not neon like the Sharpie ones we’re used to, but rather a pastel tone. They provide color where it is needed but aren’t super bright. They also come in many different colors, even odd ones like gray, brown, and navy blue, though it’s pastel hue allow the words to still be seen. I’m really satisfied with the purchase and would definitely buy it again if I ever needed to (or maybe just because).
