Silver Creek’s Latino Student Union (LSU) will be holding their second annual Dia De Los Muertos event on Thursday, November 1 in Raider Hall.
Dia De Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. This is a holiday in remembrance of loved ones who have passed. Spirits are welcomed back by family and friends with festivals, live music and food. Communities are decorated with sugar skulls, Skeletons, flowers, candles, tissue paper decoration, incense candles, and lots of traditional food such as Pan de Muerto and tamales.
The LSU staff wants to give bring a little piece of Mexican heritage to Silver Creek. The night will consist of live music, performances such as Aztec dancers and folklorico by SC students, food and more!
LSU welcomes and encourages anyone to join. Tickets are now on pre-sale for $5 from any LSU leader or will be on sale at the door for $8. This is a night you don't want to miss.
