There are so many movies in the Disney Industry, but there are also many that go unnoticed. Here are my top 10 underrated Disney movies that I recommend (not in order).
1.Meet The Robinsons (2007)
It has one of the most emotionally powerful moments in Disney history. This movie is about a boy who comes across a time-traveler, experiencing what it means to have a family.
2.Hercules (1997)
If you’re into that sassy and strong female character, then Megara is definitely a character to fall in love with. This movie is based off of the Greek mythology, though bringing humor and life along the characters. It also has an amazing soulful soundtrack.
3.The Great Mouse Detective (1986)
Ever heard of Sherlock Holmes? Yeah, except it’s animated and starring adorable mice. What else is there to question?
4.Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)
The ocean is full of wonders so why not explore it? A young adventurer heads out for the sea to uncover the ancient mystery of a lost kingdom along with a group of daredevils.
5.The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Going back to Disney’s roots, this animation takes place in New Orleans, full of nostalgia, music, and love. You’d expect to fall in love with the music and food there, but who knew you could fall in love with a... frog?
6.A Bug’s Life (1998)
In this movie, you can take a closer look on how it really is in a bug’s life. Something about this film is just so fun and magical to shrink down and live a bug’s life for 90 minutes.
7.Pocahontas (1995)
Before we all riot over this, just ignore the fact that it is historically inaccurate and appreciate the love story and beautiful soundtrack.
8.Oliver & Company
Who knew cats and dogs could get along? In this animated film, an orphaned cat goes on a city adventure in NYC along with his gang of canines.
9.Treasure Planet
Flying ships & traveling the universe to find THE Treasure Planet? Count me in!
10.Sword In The Stone
We all need a Merlin in our life, that is for damn sure.
Give these films a try. They have everything that you’d love in any Disney film, so grab some popcorn and movie binge on these hidden gems.
