Zac Efron is hot, Ted Bundy is not.
Because 2019 has just been so great, Ted Bundy, the serial killer who is soon to have a movie come out about his life has been in somewhat of a spotlight lately. Between the new Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile which has Zac Efron as the one and only, while Netflix coming out with The Ted Bundy Tapes there has been a huge stir on the internet lately. Especially, with how the lovely people of twitter have deemed Bundy to be so very attractive, to a point where netflix has had their own response:
To those of you that don’t know, Ted Bundy was a serial killer and rapist who terrorized the women (and some children) of Oregon, Colorado, Florida, and a number of other states. His period of manic killings were during the 1970s and he was arrested in 1977. Bundy admitted to at least 30 murders, but his actual body count could be much higher. His victims were generally college-aged and he would lure them by be using his charisma and coming off as a very normal person. He was executed by electric chair in Florida of 1989.
Bundy as a person can be considered to be very well documented. Meaning, anything you want to know about that man is in abundance and up for display. Which begs the question, why do we give murderers this kind of attention? After all, Ted Bundy was known for being a narcissist and giving him a tv show and a number of movies gives him exactly what he wanted.
In some way, we tend to put ourselves in these situations because we love the feeling of fear rushing through us, while in the safe confines of our own controlled environments. I mean, isn’t that the whole reason why shows like Law & Order and Criminal Minds exist in the first place?
