Here are some song reviews from the playlist that we really liked!
“Look” by Red Velvet
Even though I’m not able to understand this Korean song, I really enjoyed listening to its fast paced beat and unique sound effects. When I first played it, I ended up turning it on repeat to listen to the vocals of each of the five singers in the group.

“I Miss You” by Clean Bandit ft. Julia Michaels
Though I don’t listen to Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels often, I love the way the song flows, from the lyrics to the production. The music was addicting and Julia Michaels’ vocals were really smooth and calming to listen to. I loved the pre-chorus of the song when she sings “And I know we're not supposed to talk, but I'm getting ahead of myself.”

“Lights Down Low” by Max Schneider
The song starts with the guitar heavy vibes that just flows throughout the song. From there, it moves between quick and slow speeds depending on the intonation of vocals. The changes in tempo really kept me wanting to listen to more even after the song ended.

“Perfect” by Ed Sheeran
A single from Ed Sheeran’s third album Divide, “Perfect”, is one of my favorite songs to listen to right now. I love this ballad’s sweet meaning with the lyrics about his love and their time together such as when he sings, “We are still kids, but we're so in love, fighting against all odds.”
|
“Honey” by Kehlani
It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to a Kehlani song, but something I’ve always liked about all her songs is her voice. There’s a slight croon to it which pairs well with the lyrics as well as the melody.
|
“Get You” by Daniel Caesar
I love absolutely everything about this song. The lyrics especially the line “Through drought and famine, natural disasters, my baby has been around for me” it sounds really smooth. His voice has a really chill vibe and it pulls everything together; the melody, the lyrics, and the mood of the song. Everything about this song gives me chills.
|
“Anziety” by Logic
The beat of the intro to the song, is really soothing and soft. The voice of the featured artist, Lucy Rose, in the beginning is silky and merges into Logic’s voice. Even though the song is slow and his part is fast, the song still manages to sound good.
|
“Torches” by X Ambassadors
The song starts off slowly and then progresses to a fast paced melody which sounds really good with the notes he hits. And the song has really strong lyrics. I especially like the line “bring on your bows and arrows bring on your plagues and pharaohs cause if you get lost in the shadows there's a fire inside you and you know that I'll find you”, which holds the promise of finding you when you’re lost because he can see the light inside of you.
