Unless you’re an athlete at Silver Creek or in the track and field community, you might not know about the accomplishments of two students that we have at this school. Arianna Fisher (‘18) and Jazlynn Shearer (‘19) are both number one in their respective events in the state. Pure athleticism helps, but the sheer dedication and love for the track is what helps them succeed as elite athletes on the track.
Arianna Fisher was a tri-sport athlete here at Silver Creek up until her sophomore year. Although she was a great all around athlete, she truly excelled on the track and figured she could make a future out of it.
“I love doing sports and finding out I was blessed to be this gifted in track just made my decision clearer,” said Fisher.
Now that Fisher is realizing her full potential she has received and signed a full-ride scholarship to the University of Missouri.

Jazlynn Shearer has been great in track throughout the three years she’s been at Silver Creek, placing at the State Championships her freshman year. Shearer, as number one in the state for long jump has received offers to many colleges.
“It’s nice that I’m finally receiving offers because, at first coaches would just watch me but I was too young to be recruited.” said Shearer.
