It’s spooky season, my dudes. Houses are decorated, leaves are falling and the spirit of Halloween lingers in the air. It’s time to trick or treat yourself to this season of hot chocolate and sweater weather! Here are some ideas to get into the spooktacular vibe:
- Pick out pumpkins at a pumpkin patch! This is a CLASSIC way to get into the fall spirit. If you don’t plan on eating it, you can always carve it or paint it into something spooky.
- It gets a little chilly this time around so bring out your plaids, boots and scarves.
- Bake and eat a warm pumpkin pie, or go basic and drink a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks. Nothing says October better than pumpkins!
- Get comfy and relax at a bonfire with a cozy blanket, hot chocolate and some s'mores.
- Have a movie night. Whether you're addicted to horror and thrillers, or want something a little lighter, there's a movie out there for everyone!

"Yep, it’s that time of year. The leaves start to fall and the air gets a crisp chill. Not to mention, pumpkins, ghosts, goblins, bats and mummies make their seasonal debut! This year, like most years, I’m all about easy and adorable treats, so these simple and cute Oreo Pumpkin Pops are a must make!"

"These Rice Krispie Treat Monsters let me take my candy eye obsession to a whole new level. You get to go a little crazy with them, which I personally think is AWESOME. These little monsters are so easy to make, and they look so fun when you set them out on a serving plate. It’s like a little monster invasion sitting there on the table."

"If there is to be a close second to the sugar cookie it would definitely be the chocolate chip cookie. It has been reinvented in a million different ways in a million different recipes...BUT they are never (okay, maybe rarely is a better word) decorated. I'm changing it up and decorating chocolate chip cookies for Halloween!"

"These apples are much easier to create than you might think. Be sure to measure out the coconut oil before adding. 1 tablespoon per cup of chocolate creates the perfect consistency for a smooth and dippable chocolate that dries nicely."

- Go to a Halloween attraction. The possibilities for this are endless! You can go to haunted houses, hiking trails, and corn mazes. The best part about this is that you can do all of these wonderful activities for such a cheap price -- some are even free!
- Start stocking up on yummy scented candles so your house can always smell FANGtastic!
- Read some horror fictions. When the weather gets a little chillier and the mood gets a little more serious, if you don’t prefer watching horror movies you can pull out your favorite horror books.
