Over the years there have been a lot of movies featuring the famous web slinging hero, with different actors portraying the hero,Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse brings a new iteration of Spiderman as Miles Morales takes the mantle of the hero. Now with a new film, it has sparked debate over which Spider-Man movie is the best. Note this is based on my personal opinion, so disagreement is fine. These will be listed from worst to best.
7. The Amazing Spider-Man 2: After 2 years after the release of the first movie, The Amazing Spider Man 2 was released back in 2014. To reboot a new series of film like Sam Raimi’s original trilogy of the films. The film didn’t do too bad in the box office as of now having $709 million, but many fans did not like the plot of the movie. Peter Parker in this movie showed his more nerdy side which many fans liked but many wanted to see Peter’s more highschool side. As in the comics he is mostly portrayed as a quirky highschooler. But, the movie did not make most fans expectations. And the movie made fans confused with too many things going on in the film with a lot villians introduced made the movie feel bland and all over the place.
6. Spider-Man 3: Sam Raimi’s Spider Man films were probably of the best in cinema history. But the third Spider Man movie made fans confused. Spider Man 3 took a different approach to the trilogy, instead of making it more of action film like the other two, it turned out to be romance type film which many didn’t really like. With Peter Parker changing from his quirky highschool self. To a more serious and reckless person, Peter’s actions in the movie, made it feel more like a comedy. And who can forget the dance Peter did down the streets of New York. Though it might have seemed like a so and so movie it didn’t do too bad in the box office with $890 million.
5. The Amazing Spider-Man: Being the first movie after five years when Sam Raimi’s films concluded this film wasn’t half bad. Andrew Garfield did a great performance being Peter Parker. Unlike the original movies, it showed more of how smart Peter can be. With the movie showing how Peter made his own costume and his famous web shooters. Garfield brought Peter’s more high schooler side in this movie, what many felt the original films lacked. This film made a decent amount of money in its box office with a solid $757 million.

The original movie had a style of comedy that would make anyone laugh. Tobey Maguire did an amazing portraying Spider-Man and set a standard of how Peter Parker should be. The movie was the first one to touched one issues many people face in their lives and showed a way resolve them.
2. Spider-Man Homecoming: After it seemed that Spider-Man films took plunge, Homecoming turned that around and became one of the best summer films of 2017. This film was very different from the ones before it. Director Jon Watts wanted this Peter Parker to be more teenager like, as he brought Tom Holland into the role of the hero who was 20 at the time which fit to teen Parker has always been. Peter was first introduced in Captain America: Civil War and was recruited by Tony Stark who played a very big role in Homecoming. Since Uncle Ben passed away, Peter has never really had a father figure, but Tony Stark fills that spot sort becoming his “father” in a sense. That’s what really makes this movie special because it’s filled with many emotions and we can really feel for Peter in Homecoming.
