It’s 2019 and it’s time to start going on trips. Planning trips can be hard which is why we’ve made a list for you. The list includes local places to visit as well as far away places that’ll give you that full vacation experience.
LOCAL PLACES TO VISIT
4. Happy Hollow Zoo
A small kid zoo with a handful of animals to see. They have a petting zoo with goats and sheep but make sure to bring quarters so you can get some food to feed them. They also just added a crocodile, so you can see that too. Tickets are $14 per person. |
5. De Anza Planetarium
If you’re really into astrology there’s an observatory at De Anza college you can visit. They give you a ton of information about the galaxies and stars. |

7. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
On a nice summer day it’s a good time to take trip to the beach, maybe even go on the rides on the boardwalk. |
8. San Francisco
The city has a variety of places to visit. It’s best to set a whole day aside to do some of the things listed there.

9. Monterey Bay Aquarium
This aquarium has a variety of fish you can see and also touch. Other than fish they have birds and a new exhibit called Viva Baja, which includes animals from Baja California. Those animals are snakes, spiders and stuff of that sort. |
10. Half Moon Bay
This city has a lot of really nice beaches. Some even offer a nice camping site so you and a group of friends and relax and have a nice BBQ and camp out on the beach. |
VACATION TRIPS
11. Disneyland/Disney World
These places are great for almost any occasion. They're also places for everyone. Whether you’re a kid or an adult, Disneyland and Disney World have amazing things to offer you. Although they are expensive, they're totally worth it. You typically spend 2 days in the parks. |

If you love roller coaster, here’s the amusement park for you. |
13. Universal Studios in Orlando or LA
Universal Studios usually takes only 1-2 days to complete depending on the lines and which park you go to. Their rides are dark room 3D adventures. They include rides from your favorite movies and tv shows. They also have a studio tour in Universal Studios Hollywood where you can see some of your favorite movie sets. |
14. San Diego Zoo
Fan of Animals? San Diego Zoo is one of the few zoos that are a place where animals can thrive and not be imprisoned. The San Diego Zoo is a nonprofit organization, so the money that you give for your ticket goes straight back to the animals and gets them maybe a bigger enclosure or more enrichments. |
15. Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is a great place to visit with family and friends any time of the year. The best time to go might be around winter when everything's covered in snow. Will in Tahoe you can also visit Reno for a day since it’s only an hour drive. |
16. Yosemite National Park
It's similar to Tahoe because it's also a place to visit with your family and be one with nature. One thing that Tahoe lacks is views. Yosemite has some of the best views and vivid wildlife. |
17. Hawaii
Stepping away from cold and snowy weather, Hawaii is the place to go with friends and family who are looking for a tropical vacation. Hawaii is hot and offers a variety of activities to do. You can go ziplining, visit the beach, go hiking. They have almost everything. |
18. Caribbean Islands
Just like Hawaii, it’s a nice tropical getaway. Except it’s more for couples going on their honeymoons. Also it’s a place where a lot of cruise ships stop. Usually in these islands, you’d try new food and learn more about the culture. |
19. Cancun
For those who are taking Spanish class, Cancun is the place to put your Spanish to the test. Although a lot of the people there that speak English, you still get a little bit of the nice Mexican vibe without having to be in central Mexico. You have the nice beaches, insane resorts, and great food. |
