Dear Juniors,
I know that you've been stressing these past couple of months, carrying the weight of all the heavy textbooks on your back. I'm here to tell you that all the long nights of studying, the endless amount of stress and tears, and all the hours of procrastinating watching Netflix are worth it. We were all told that our junior year would be the year that make or break us, the words from the juniors before us were right. On March 6th we are going to enter a four hour long test that will determine our future.
With the free SAT test provided by the East Side Union High School District around the corner, I am here to remind my fellow juniors that we will crush this test. We will impress every single UC or CSU out there with our test scores, let's not take this test for granted. We are given an opportunity that a lot of students would kill to have. Not everyone can afford to take the SAT test, let alone to take it multiple times to improve their test scores. For many students this might be the only chance they have to take this test due to financial problems. Please don't take this test as a joke. Just because it's free doesn’t mean it doesn’t count.
A few websites such as Khan Academy and College Broad provides PSAT testing, these websites will help you get a good idea of the material that will be on the actual SAT test. If you’re struggling with what exactly you should be studying for, these websites could help. They help students study over both the reading and math sections of the test. The reading section reviews over grammar, punctuation, and provides ways to eliminate irrelevant answers. The math section is broken down into many section like Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-calculus, Statistics, etc.
This is just a test, it’s not the end of the world if the results aren't what you want. To all my fellow juniors, I wish every single one of you the best of luck.
